As per the reports from M2M Business news, NTT DOCOMO, INC has announced that from 6th December, it will become Japan’s first mobile operator to offer a global enterprise platform for the communication lines of wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) systems. The platform will manage communication lines via not only in DOCOMO’s mobile network, includes operators outside Japan through international roaming.
The new service of DOCOMO M2M Platform will connect M2M communication lines in over 200 countries with a unified Web interface .Corporate customers can combine with M2M solutions for the purpose of worldwide management of vehicle or construction machinery fleets.
Conventional M2M platforms require a separate platform in each country in order to customize to each local mobile operator’s communication line. By using docomo M2M Platform, customers can eliminate the cost of operating multiple M2M platforms.
According to the reports, M2M platform of Jasper Wireless, INC a US based company has been utilized by the new offering to provide a proven track record of M2M infrastructure to telecommunications carriers throughout the world.
Additional features of docomo M2M Platform’s convenient Web interface includes real-time monitoring of data usage and communication fees, remote activation and deactivation of communication lines and basic diagnosis of communication failures.
